AMRT.NET  is dedicated to facilitating adoption of shelter and rescue pets in the Southern California area.  We believe there are a lot of pets euthanized in shelters while there are potential pet owners looking to adopt and cannot find them.   The goal of the creators of this web site is to assist potential pet owners in finding a shelter or rescued pet.

The shelter staff do their best at identifying a breed or mix of an animal, however with mixes it is usually a guess (many times a good one) and sometime they even get purebreed animals incorrect.  Please do not be put off by a description, go see the animal if you think it is cute and make your own judgement.  Also the age of an animal is only a guess, many factors can make an animal look older or younger again please do not be put off by the age, many older animals turn out to be younger when treated with love, good grooming and good diet.

Please tell the shelter staff that you saw the dogs and cats on Animal Match Website

The comments are those of the rescuers who visited with the animal, and are not those of the Shelter. Adopters should always visit with the animal before adopting to make their own decision about an animal's health and temperament.

Pets described on this web site may not still be available when you contact the shelter or rescue.  All shelter pets must be spayed/neutered before adoption.
