We get
our rescue dogs from the shelters in YOUR community. We left a
lot behind. |
||
| 2009 was a very difficult year. The slow economy has resulted in less adoptions and more needier dogs. We don't expect much improvement for 2010. |

Twila is a one-year old, approximately eight-pound, female long haired chihuahua mix. She is friendly, happy, and gentle. She gets long well with people (including children) and dogs. She loves to play with stuffed animals, but she can also just chill out in an available lap.

Poodles need regular brushing and a trip to the beauty parlor every six weeks. |
Lucky is a senior maltese poodle mix of about 10 years. He is energetic and sweet and certainly didn't deserve to be dumped at a shelter like garbage. Lucky weighs about 8 pounds and has a darling coat once it has a chance to grow back in without the dreads. We just had a full dental done on Lucky as his teeth had not been cared for and he was in horrible pain. You can tell by the before photo that Lucky hasn't been so Lucky. He has been suffering for a very long time. If you personally witness an animal in poor condition please report it to your local shelter. Lucky will be in foster care with the hope of restoring his faith in "Man's best Friend"! He is a nice little dog that did not deserve this treatment.

Adoption Pending - Molly is a female poodle that weighs about 10 pounds. She is around 4 years old. She is quiet and just as sweet as could be. She does have cataracts which are common in poodles. We believe she has some partial vision. She does well on a leash, is great in the car, and simply loves people.

This is Honey, a two year old Chihuahua mix weighing about six
pounds. What isn't obvious from the photos
is that she actually has five feet. Two feet are on the left
front leg, which is shorter and doesn't touch the ground.
Deemed unadoptable by the SPCA-LA, we eagerly took her. She is affectionate, friendly, sweet, and not at all handicapped. When you donate to the SPCA-LA this is where the money DOESN'T go. But they have a lot of good looking grass and pretty flowers. She sort of looks like a teacup German Shepherd. |

The photos here of Honey show what the leg with two feet look like,
and show just how small she is. The photos above don't show
that, but do show how cute she is. She is gentle and quiet but quite capable of running and when she does she is FAST!!

Adoption Pending -This is Tito. He was born in July 2009, which makes him five
months old. His mother was a Yorkie and he surely looks to me
like a Chihuahua. He weighs about five pounds and
probably won't grow much bigger. He has long legs and his coat
is a little wirey and somewhat scruffy. He has a fuzzy face.
Tito is friendly and playful. |

This is Cottonwood, a five month old male puppy.
He has had a few bad months and is pretty scabby due to what appears
to be some sort of a chemical burn consistent in appearance to a "meth
burn", although we don't know the cause of the injury. He has been to the vet several times and he does not have an illness. No mange. No fungus. No skin condition. What you see is a chemical burn and the scars will not go away. He is a great dog and deserves a good home. |

This is Costello, a two year old male poodle mix. He is
wearing a cute little elementary school math award tag. Too
bad it didn't include a name, address, or phone number. He looks pretty messy here. He should look good in a few weeks. |

This is Delta, a one year old Chihuahua mix weighing about six pounds. She is no longer a quiet, shy little dog. |
|
|
|
Tyler is a male mini poodle. His paperwork says he is a senior but we are thinking that he is 5 to 8 years old. He is very active. This is a dog that has probably spent his entire life living in a backyard uncared for. The nicest thing his previous owner ever did for him was dump him at the shelter. He is very loyal and loving in his foster home. Tyler would do well with a young senior or a quiet household. |

Adoption Info:
We are a rescue organization centered in Orange County, CA. We have
no kennel facility, our animals are in foster homes and part of
someone's family until they find a home of their own. If you would like
to meet a dog you see featured on our site please fill out the
application and email it back to us and we will get back to you within 3
days. If you do not see a dog you would like to
adopt please check back often as we do have new arrivals all the time.
Please note that there is an adoption fee charged for each animal
placed. The adoption fee goes directly to the care of the dogs we
currently have in foster homes. All of our dogs, including the puppies,
are altered and current on vaccinations before adoption.
