Adoption Info:

This is Linus, a six pound male Maltese.  Most of his paperwork says he is four years old.  This seems about right.  Some of his paperwork says he is 11 months old.  We doubt that.

Linus is just adorable.

This is Robin, a three MONTH old female Chihuahua doxie puppy?  At three months she is already as big as a typical Chihuahua and I expect she will be about 20 pounds when full grown.  Nice little puppy.
This is King, a two year old, 7 pound poodle mix?

We think that King is a bichon but he could be a poodle.   He has a shorter tail like it was docked, but it is too long for a poodle.  And bichon's don't have their tail docked.  He does have that tightly curled coat that a poodle should have.  But his face and muzzle do seem like a bichon.

Someone taught him to sit on command.

This is Poppy, a one year old poodle mix?  She has very long legs, a slender body, and very straight soft hair.  I am guessing she was trimmed up at the shelter and I don't know what she will look like when her hair grows out.    I am guessing she might be a big Maltese? or a Maltese poodle mix.  Poppy weighs about 20 pounds.
Adoption Pending - This is Princess, a five  year old toy poodle weighing about eight pounds.

Princess is gentle, quiet, and friendly.

This is Easter, a four month old female Chihuahua mix.  For a dog that is supposed to be a Chihuahua, she surely looks like a miniature pinscher to me,  She is about four pounds with very long legs.

Easter is a little devil.  She never slows down.  A fun dog.  She should be available by about June 1.

Kyle is darling. He is around 2 years old and might be a Chihuahua Min Pin mix?. Kyle is a little shy at first, but he is a nice quiet little guy once you get to know him. Kyle is around 5 pounds.
This is Rachael, a six year old miniature poodle mix.   Rachael had to be shaved down because she was so badly matted.  She will look great in a couple of months.

Rachael is a sweet, friendly, really nice dog.

This is Randall. He is a sweet little guy, under 5 pounds. Randall is good with other animals and loves people. He does need a secure yard and older children due to his size. Randall is around 2 years old.
This is Tulip a five pound female Chihuahua.  Her paperwork says she is six but she could be a little older.  She is quiet, friendly, and a really nice little dog.

She is a nice friendly dog.  She has a little snaggle tooth.   She had a lot of dental work done.

Trevor is a 1-2 years old. He is good on a leash and loves the car. Trevor is frightened by hands grabbing him so he will need to be with someone that is patient and understanding.

This is Resa, an 8-year old, approximately 5-pound maltipoo. Resa loves all people, and gets along well with most dogs, especially small dogs. We had to have one eye removed due to infection. Although her hearing and sight are limited, she gets around very well, and has lots of energy and loving to share. She likes walks and lap sitting. She will make you laugh with the happy dance she does when you come home. She also does it when you take out her leash. She would make an excellent companion for just about anyone.

We expect she might be ready for a new home by about May 25.

Have you been looking for a Dachishon? Meet Austin a young male Bichon/Doxie mix. Austin has a darling personality, he is gentle and sweet. Poor little guy spent months at the shelter as he had a problem with one of his legs. He now has a clean bill of health and is ready for a forever home.

This is Tyra, a 7 year old female terrier mix.  Perhaps Maltese and shih-tsu?

Tyra is gentle, affectionate, and friendly

Stevie is a wonderful little Maltese mix. He has a great disposition with people, children, and animals. Stevie is one of those dogs that after 5 minutes you think how in the heck did this little guy end up in rescue. He's perfect! Stevie weighs about 6 pounds and is around 6 years old. He is neutered and current on all his shots. He just had his teeth cleaned. It is a close to 90 degrees outside when we snapped this photo; he is homeless and hot but still has a smile on his face!
This is Peachy, an eleven month old MaltiPoo neutered male weighing 16 pounds.  Young Peachy had a very rough start before we saved him.  In the short time he has been with AMRT, he is already doing great.  Once he knows you, he is very affectionate and stays right next to you (or he just crawls into your lap).  He loves other dogs, and gets along with cats.  When we first got Peachy, his long fur made him look like a Terrier.  After his bath and grooming, he transformed into a Poodle.  Peachy is currently with our AMRT cat rescue near Simi Valley.  He would prefer a home without young children.
