AMRT.NET  is dedicated to facilitating adoption of shelter and rescue pets in the Southern California area.  We believe there are a lot of pets euthanized in shelters while there are potential pet owners looking to adopt and cannot find them.   The goal of the creators of this web site is to assist potential pet owners in finding a shelter or rescued pet.

We are located on the Los Banos Airport. The shelter is about 8 miles east
of Interstate 5. Take the Hwy. 152 East exit. Turn left at I St. (signal) and then
left onto airport. Follow road to end, shelter is on right. From Hwy 99 or Hwy
165, take Hwy 152 West to I St. Turn right, then left onto airport.

We Are a municipal shelter that receives a lot of help from the volunteers. We are a very small shelter in a growing city. Our volunteers have opened the shelter on Saturdays for adoptions. We groom and exercise the dogs, which also help us evaluate them for placement.   We have a large exercise yard that you can get to know the dog of your dreams! We will have a get-acquainted room for cats soon.

Male Black Lab, neutered. About 4 yr., Really a nice boy. Stray. Will be PTS'd Mond. if can't find place for him. Lab Rescue I work  with can't take him until end of next week-I can't hold him that long.

Yellow lab mix pup (springer??maybe), male about 4 to 5 mos., a  little timid but a real sweetie! Mostly yellow with some white on
paws and muzzle with freckles. Really cute! Stray

Sheltie mix, male, 6 yrs., owner relinq-moving.  Seems nice, a little  cautious but I have had no problem handling this guy.

Male German Shep., looks backyard type, but attractive enough, black  and tan. About 4 yrs. Owner relinq-moving

Lab mix male, haven't checked him or his Shar pei mix buddy out yet.  Neither would come up to the front. Both were found running at local  airport. They were probably dumped and are bewildered. Shar Pei mix  is black with red head. Med. lenghth coat but definitely Shar Pei.  head! Both are considered strays. Avail Monday or Tues.
We are a very small (9 runs) shelter and currently are over full.  Have 2 dogs in some outside kennels that are not secure. We almost
NEVER use them, but capacity is exceeded. We have 5 kennels filled  with aggressive or quarantined dogs.

Thanks,
Laurel
